I love this set. Makes perfect espresso or cappuccino – really good, just this is 6 Italian espresso cups, so if you need more coffee buy the biger one.

Listen folks, I am not a kitchen idiot, but I *do* have trouble making a good pot of coffee. Well, I did. Now I make the best coffee on the planet (in my humble opinion!) with my Bialetti set. I have tried making cappuccino with Illy and Lavazza coffees–both are excellent and it is IMPOSSIBLE not to make a delectable cup o’ joe. The frother exceeds my wildest expectations–I’ve worked down from whole milk to 1% and am AMAZED that even 1% froths beautifully.
I was afraid the bialetti would be too big (I’m making coffee/cappuccino/lattes for one)–but it’s actually perfect. It makes enough for one cup to drink as I get ready to flee the house each morning, and enough to fill my travel mug.

If your are new to the whole espresso scene, this is a great place to start. Not that it is not for the coffee veteran, but it is a good and cheap way to start to experiment with making espressos, cappuccinos and such. Its not difficult to operate and produces pretty good results. After my 5th time making a cappuccino, I let my wife sample one. She was impressed. She said “To hell with Starbucks”.

Wow, I just made my first latte! Super easy and delicious. I’m especially pleased with the frother – best foam ever, in only 10 seconds!!! I heated 2% milk on stovetop to 148 degrees then pumped. I am a former barista and I know a good latte. I’ve been eyeing this product for a while and could not be happier with this bargain! It will pay for itself in 15 days. Happy Birthday to me!

I was visiting someone with a similar espresso maker, and was so impressed with the espresso that came out of it that I came running home to research for one to buy. Based on the comments here on Amazon.com, I ordered this cappuccino and latte set.
Prior to this, I have never used a stove-top espresso maker before. The instruction in the box was very clear. I added water to the bottom portion, scooped in the espresso, screw on the top and place on the stove. It was pretty simple. If I fill the water to the fill-line, and put the espresso maker on the stove then turn on the element (electric), it takes exactly 5 minutes on my stove to make the espresso. I bought some good quality organic espresso beans for this, and the result? Heavenly! The coffee is so good, and it’s so easy to make. The machine is very easy to rinse out.
The frother is equally useful. I have used skim milk, 1% milk, soy milk, and almond milk to make my lattes. They all work well, but obviously the higher fat content ones tend to froth thicker. The non-stick lining in the frother is a great feature, making it very easy to clean.
If you are making a latte, you probably want to heat up the milk on the stove first, wait a couple of minutes, than put the espresso maker on. The milk takes a little longer to heat up than the coffee.
I was spending over $40 a week at Sbux prior to this. With this set, I am having my morning coffee at home that costs very little to make. Since buying this set 2 months ago, I’ve used it at least once a day, but often twice a day. We even take it camping and use it on the butane stove. With all the usage, it’s showing no sign of wear. Only time will tell when I have to replace the o-ring. But this is one well-made set of espresso/latte maker. Highly recommended!

I’m not sure why some complain about the froth. The Bialetti instructions are incorrect. It says after heating the milk, you’re suppose to put the lid on and shake it. The correct thing to do after the milk is heated is you put the lid on and pump it. I get a lot of froth and it makes a delicious cappuccino. Since Illy coffee is so expensive, I found Lavazza crema e gusto for a much better price on Amazon and it’s yummy. No need to go to Starbucks for a cappuccino because mine taste just as good and maybe even better. I have been tempted to buy an expensive cappuccino maker and am glad I never did. I love this set!

I got this for my mom for her birthday – she loves the cappuccino maker and the expresso I got her but said the milk foamer takes a lot of effort to get it to work.

Simplicity is best. This little espresso maker simplifies coffee making and creates a rich cup of espresso. I am not a coffee connoisseur, but do enjoy a latte and cappuccino on occasion. Both economical and effective, I recommend the Bialetti espresson maker and milk frother. Enjoy!

i am no longer tempted to go the local coffee shop for frothed drinks. I also find this frother easier to use than the ones on expensive espresso machines. Still getting used to the espresso maker but i thought it still came out very good.

i’ve had little italian moka pots before but none of them compare to this little gem. not only is the espresso perfect every time, but the pot rinses/wipes clean easily, goes together easily, etc., which cannot be said for other, cheaper espresso pots.
the frother is amazing! i want to froth things in it all of the time. i have had two glass bodied frothers and of course they’ve been broken due to their constant use and fragility. i don’t use mine as the pot for making the milk, i heat the milk in a little pot on the stove and pour it into the frother when it’s hot. to me, the frother doesn’t look sturdy enough to withstand years of use being heated twice, three times a day on the stovetop. i also think it would be useful to have a spout on the frother for pouring, but the insane amazingess of the frothing itself makes up for these little flaws.
i am a person who doesn’t mind waiting 10-15 minutes to have perfect coffee in her hands. i enjoy the process nearly as much as the end result. it’s a great espresso maker and makes the coffee ritual very enjoyable from start to finish. i even like seeing it drying out on the counter!

I purchased the set just to get the frother. I had one and damaged it. It does a great job of frothing milk for cappuccino or latte. I could not find the frother only, but the set cost little more than I previously paid for the single item. The cappuccino maker performs beautifully, but is a hassle to clean. I take the easy way out and use my electric espresso maker for the coffe making chore.
